Puppy Bowl XXII official Tailgate party

Happy Tails was buzzing with excitement when we hosted our second annual Puppy Bowl Tailgate party at our Tribeca location! The event brought together dog lovers from all over NYC to celebrate one of the cutest days of the year Puppy Bowl Sunday.

For fans who don’t know, Puppy Bowl is Animal Planet’s beloved annual Super Bowl Sunday TV event that showcases adoptable shelter dogs “playing” in a football-style game. Puppy Bowl XXII featured a record-breaking lineup of rescue pups from more than 70 shelters across the U.S., all hoping to score touchdowns and find their forever homes. It’s a totally heart-warming tradition that’s all about fun, community, and pet adoption.

At our tailgate, pups and their humans gathered under one roof to cheer, mingle and soak up all the Puppy Bowl feels together before settling in to watch the broadcast. The atmosphere was electric with wagging tails, stylish bandanas, and tons of smiles from early kickoff to final whistle.

We were especially honored that Dan Schachner, the long-time Puppy Bowl referee and personality known for his passion for pups and adoption, was part of the celebration. Dan has been at the heart of Puppy Bowl for over a decade, bringing charm, positivity and joy to the event every year.

From playful zoomies to unforgettable “football” highlights, guests enjoyed every adorable moment. And just like the televised Puppy Bowl, this tailgate was all about community celebrating rescue pets, loving local dog culture, and bringing people together with their four-legged best friends.

At Happy Tails, we feel so lucky to bring these dog-focused moments to life. Whether it’s a breed party or a Puppy Bowl celebration, our space is built for shared joy, wagging tails, and lifelong memories.

Stay tuned for more epic events coming to Happy Tails we can’t wait to do it again!
